Lux Vitae, “Light of Life” in Latin, is the iconic vintage marking the start of the joint adventure of our two families, Comps and Desruets families. An ode to perpetual rebirth and the symbiosis of the elements, to the vigor of the earth in relation to the cosmos and more simply to all the life concentrated in our wines.
This cuvée fuses Bordeaux and Champagne, through the use of barrels from both regions. Inspired by great wines, we have carefully elaborated Lux Vitae using grapes from our oldest vines and aged it for 3 years in barrels and tuns to offer an experience worthy of the greatest names in oenology as well as a wine of great storage potential.
This blend of Merlot 50% Cabernet Franc 10% Cabernet Sauvignon 40% offers a nose with intense aromas of black fruits, black cherry, blackcurrant, licorice and spicy notes.
On the palate, black fruits dominate with elegant and well-integrated tannins, accompanied by notes of cocoa and liquorice. A velvety texture and a sustained structure.
It is recommended to age this great vintage, flat, for 5 to 6 years to obtain better taste pleasures.
